Mothering Sunday

On Sunday, children from our school choir sang at St Mary’s Church for a special Mothering Sunday service. They sang a combination of ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ and the modern song ‘Mighty to Save’. Their singing was beautiful and everyone was very impressed!

Book Day

We had an incredible collection of costumes today as children and staff celebrated World Book Day. In Years 1-6 children dressed up as a word for our Vocabulary Parade; children in EYs dressed up as book characters.

SMBS Rugby v Wetherby Prep

This afternoon, Year 6 played tag rugby against Wetherby Prep School at their sports’ ground in West London.

Ms Granite said that the class played brilliantly, scoring quite a number of tries. In the end, the score was tied between the two schools.

This is a great opportunity for our pupils to play against a different sort of school (Wetherby is a boys’ independent school), in a much larger space than our school playground.

The children have been able to demonstrate their well-developed Games skills, which they have acquired due to high quality Sports teaching at St Mary’s.

Well done!
