Pupils in Year 3 have been working on a special project involving seeds from Space, to link in with Tim Peake’s time on the International Space Station.
We are one of around 10,000 schools to receive a packet of 100 seeds from Space, which will be grown alongside seeds that haven’t been to Space. The difference between the two groups will be measured to find out the impact of Space on the seeds. We won’t know which seed packet contains which seeds until all results have been collected by the Royal Horticultural Society.
You can find out more about the project here: schoolgardening.rhs.org.uk
Yesterday, Year 1 visited the Tower of London as part of their History topic: Castles. They really enjoyed seeing the Crown Jewels, exploring the White Tower, eating lunch in the moat and meeting an 800 year old Knight!
Today, children in Year 6 were visited by representatives from the Premier League to follow up the work the children had done when they visited the Premier League Headquarters in February. The children were presented with certificates for their work and DVDs of their attempts to be Sports Reporters. The Premier League also provided the school with books for our school library, including an Arsenal annual that Miss Norman is very excited about!
Congratulations to Daniel who won the Premier League Fantasy Football competition by working out the most effective team costing under £100m.
