Year 6’s Humanist Visitor

Today, Year 6 were visited by a Humanist, who provided an alternative view about belief in science and reason, as part of our RE topic on Creation and Science.

Jeremy Rodell from Humanists UK came and discussed the main beliefs of Humanists, and that they use logic, reason and empathy to decide how to live their lives.

They discovered how science has changed its opinion over the years, when determining how old the Earth is. The children also tried to solve a murder using different forms of evidence.
