Y6 Discover Biomes at London Zoo

On Thursday, Year 6 went to ZSL London Zoo to see different biomes. A biome is a particular habitat for different plants and animals, eg the rainforest where sloths live and hibiscus flowers grow. It was really fun seeing the different animals, and finding out new facts – some of which were almost unbelievable! Did you know that otters are carnivores, for example? The children very bravely stroked Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches and enjoyed watching red kangeroos in the outback biome.
