Yesterday, we received a visit from Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, to talk with us about air pollution. The children showed Mr Khan various different projects we have already worked on, such as turning our car park into a garden and all our active travel posters. He was very impressed with how knowledgeable the children were and how much they had already achieved. See more in this video on Twitter
Mr Khan was also joined by Nickie Aiken, leader of Westminster Council. Between them, they will be funding air filtration systems for our classrooms to ensure the air that children breathe is as clean as possible.
Everyone loved playing out in the street, as it was closed to traffic for the morning to let us hold a ‘play street’. Our visitors even joined in with the games!
We are so proud of our children and their courageous advocacy on this topic. They were the highlight of the BBC London News. Well done.
