We have had some visitors into our school in the last week to share their lives and beliefs with the children. Year 4 had a visit by a Sikh, who talked about the 7 Ks of Sikhism and what life is like for him. Year 1 and 5 were visited by a Jewish believer, who spoke about different practices in Judaism. She also brought Challah bread, which the children were able to try!
Our children have told us they love these visits, because it helps them to understand the difference faith makes to a believer’s life – it makes it real and relevant for them. It also helps them to develop respect for others, which is one of our core Christian values.
We are very grateful to our visitors for giving up their time to come and see us.
